Reply to photos and edit them in WhatsApp

WhatsApp will soon allow Meta AI for smart photo insight and editing

After the integration of Meta AI into WhatsApp, the go-to-messenger application is spreading its wings in all directions. As per recent reports, WhatsApp is working to bring a new feature that will let users make quick edits to their images using Meta AI. Following are the some of the important points:-

WhatsApp is working on a new update which will let users Meta AI reply to photos

Users will have a complete control over their photos, as it will be possible to delete them at any time

Meta AI will also offer the feature to make changes to photos directly in the app

WhatsApp is regularly working to introduce an update which will integrate Meta AI directly into its messaging platform. At the moment, WhatsApp is rolling out a new beta update with version 2.24.14.20, which brings the ability for Meta AI to edit photos shared by users. Meta has recently launched its virtual assistant Meta AI. After the complete roll-out of the service, Meta AI is now available for users to use for free across the company's apps - WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger. The roll-out was a clear indication that these applications will be using Meta AI to enhance the user experience. The go-to-messenger application, WhatsApp, is among the first ones to explore the powers of Meta AI. According to a recent report, WhatsApp is working on bringing a feature to allow Meta AI to reply to photos and edit them. Before working on this update, the social media platform was reportedly developing an optional feature to generate images of themselves using Meta AI.

The new beta update of WhatsApp aims to enhance the image editing and interaction experience by allowing them to ask questions about their photos and receive detailed insights. Additionally, users will be able to make edits to their photos conveniently within the chat interface. Users of this beta update can see a new chat button. This new button of WhatsApp lets users easily share photos with Meta AI for analysis and editing. This helps users to seek information about objects in their photos and make adjustments according to their preferences.

As per the reports available, WhatsApp is testing the implementation of a new chat button to allow users to manually share photos with Meta AI, scheduled for release in a future update of the app. With this new capability, users will be able to ask questions about their photos, such as identifying objects or providing context. Meta AI will also offer the feature to make changes to photos, enabling users to edit their images directly within the chat by sharing a prompt. It is noteworthy that users maintain complete control over their photos, as it will be possible to delete them at any time.

The upcoming feature will allow users to take a single set of photos, which will be created with the help of Meta AI. Users must take setup photos that will be analysed to create these images, ensuring that the generated images accurately represent their appearance. Furthermore, users have complete control over their photos, including the option to delete them at any time. Through the new feature, WhatsApp makes a more interactive and personalized approach to managing and editing photos directly within the app.

The feature will help users gain insights about their images by asking MetaAI. This feature will also eliminate the hassles of using a different application to edit the images. It will streamline the user experience, enabling users to make quick edits and tweaks to their photos right within the app, thereby simplifying the process and boosting efficiency. The feature is under-development right now, but is expected to roll out in the near future.

Meta is very serious about privacy concerns, and made Meta AI follow the same. This feature will also be an optional one and will require users to opt-in. Users will retain full control over this feature, as they can delete their setup photos at any time through the Meta AI settings. Users can ask Meta AI to generate an image by typing "Imagine me" in the Meta AI chat. Additionally, users will be able to use this feature in other chats by typing “@Meta AI imagine me”. It is worth noting that Meta AI cannot read other messages, as the command is processed separately, and the resulting image message will automatically be shared in the conversation by the app, ensuring that user privacy is always preserved.
