Samsung Galaxy S25 series will be exynos everywhere

Galaxy S25 series will be all-Exynos everywhere : New rumour claims

A new rumour from a source has some potentially disappointing news for those who are not fond of Samsung’s Exynos chipsets. According to this source, Samsung is reportedly planning to use its own Exynos SoCs for the entire Galaxy S25 series. Given their history, we assume this means the yet-unannounced Exynos 2500.

This decision applies to all models everywhere all over the world. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 will reportedly use Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets, likely the 8 Gen 4. The entry-level and mid-range Galaxy A series is expected to feature a combination of chipsets from MediaTek and Samsung in 2025 .

Since the release of these devices is still far off, we recommend taking this information as a small piece of rumour only, especially considering it has not been ‘confirmed’ by any other sources, official or unofficial. Even if this rumor turns out to be true, we should bear in mind that the capabilities of the Exynos 2500 are still unknown. It is possible that this new chipset could bring about significant changes that could even challenge the Snapdragon 8 series. The mobile industry has seen unexpected developments in the past, so it’s best not to dismiss any possibilities.

On the other hand, it raises questions as to why Samsung plans to use Snapdragon chipsets for the foldable models. We can't say this sort of strategy makes a lot of sense to us, but then again we could say the same thing for the current Exynos-Snapdragon split in the Galaxy S24 lineup.
