Redmi Turbo 4 launched

 Redmi Turbo 4 debuts with MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra, 6,550mAh battery   

Xiaomi is kicking off the new year with a Turbo phone - the Redmi Turbo 4. It’s the first phone to launch with the recently announced MediaTek Dimensity 8400 chipset, which Xiaomi customized and now calls Dimensity 8400-Ultra. Turbo 4 also matches the Redmi K80 by packing a 6,550 mAh silicon carbon cell with 90W wired charging. For now, let’s take a look at the Redmi Turbo 4 specifications and other details. Following are the some of the important points:-

Redmi Turbo 4 has been launched in four variants.

It has a starting price of CNY 1,999 (Rs 23,488 approx).

Redmi Turbo 4 brings Dimensity 8400-Ultra chipset and 6,550 mAh battery.

Redmi Turbo 4 is now official in China. It’s a new flagship smartphone from the Xiaomi sub-brand and it houses the new MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra. Redmi Turbo 4 is also tipped to launch as the POCO X7 Pro in other markets but with some differences. The POCO X7 Pro is launching on 9th January. Turbo 4 is also fitted with a 6.77-inch LTPS OLED screen with 1220p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel is rated at 3,200 nits peak brightness and features Gorilla Glass 7i protection. There’s a 20MP (OV20B) front-facing camera inside the punch-hole cutout and an optical in-display fingerprint scanner.

The smartphone comes in three colour options including Shadow Black, Shallow Sea Blue and Lucky Cloud White. The back of the device features a glass back with a dual-tone finish and two camera sensors. A 50MP main cam armed with a Sony LYT-600 sensor (1/1.95”) and OIS. The second shooter is an 8MP ultrawide lens. The software side is covered by Xiaomi HyperOS 2, based on Android 15. Turbo 4 is also IP66/68/69 dust and waterproof and features an infrared port.

Redmi Turbo 4 has been launched in four variants. Redmi Turbo 4 is expected to make its way to global markets as the Poco X7 Pro next week. Pricing for the 12/256GB trim starts at CNY 1,999 ($273), while the top-tier 16/512GB version is going for CNY 2,499 ($342). Redmi Turbo 4 is tipped to launch as POCO X7 Pro in other markets as well. Specifications

Processor:- The smartphone is powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra chipset. It’s a beefed up version of the flagship Dimensity 8400 chipset.

Display:- Redmi Turbo 4 features a 6.67-inch TCL Huaxing 1.5K flat OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 3200nits nits peak brightness, 1920Hz PWM Dimming, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision support.

Software:- On the software front, the new Redmi smartphone runs HyperOS 2 based on Android 15.

Battery, charging:- Redmi Turbo 4 packs a 6,550mAh battery with 90W fast charging support. The smartphone is said to retain 80 percent battery health even after 1600 cycles.

Cameras:- It houses a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera at the back. For selfies, the smartphone has a 20MP front camera.

Other features:- Redmi Turbo 4 also comes with IP66/IP67/IP68 rating, dual-frequency GPS, and multi-function NFC.

Redmi Turbo 4 succeeds the Redmi Turbo 3, which launched in China last year. In comparison, the new Redmi phone has flat edges offering a sleeker look than the Redmi Turbo 3. In terms of what’s new with the Redmi Turbo 4, this smartphone has a faster chipset, better camera sensors and a bigger battery.
