 Battery Size revealed for Samsung Galaxy A16 5G : Details Emerge on 3C Certification      

Galaxy A06 5G made its debut recently, and soon, we’ll watch the Galaxy A16 5G take the stage. This device has come up in multiple leaks, reports and listings. Even Geekbench has tested this phone twice. And each time with a different chipset. And now, through the Chinese 3C certification, we have found out what its battery capacity will be. Galaxy A16 5G hauls a 5000mAh cell. The Chinese certifier 3C cleared this phone with a maximum cell size of 4,860 mAh. History would suggest that the battery size might go by 5000 mAh in advertisements and spec sheets. It’s not that special, but an 18Wh cell like this will easily last a day.

Surprising absolutely no one, the Galaxy A16 5G will be rocking a 5,000 mAh cell. That's the de facto standard these days for most Android smartphones, so it's hardly shocking. It's also the exact same capacity seen in the Galaxy A15 5G. We don’t know how this is an improvement over the last generation or if they plan on it. But we can’t blame Samsung for not attempting higher upgrades in this segment. Entry-level phones like Galaxy A16 5G focus more on budget and less on research and development for better specs.   

Speculators are speculating that the Exynos variant will be headed to Asia and/or Africa and the other might be for other global destinations. But nothing is confirmed just yet. That’s about the extent of what 3C unraveled. But Geekbench added more to its hardware roster. They performed benchmarks on Samsung's latest 5G budget mobile, once with an Exynos 1330 and the other time with a Dimensity 6300. The Galaxy A16 5G's two versions, with the two different SoCs, are likely to launch in different markets, though it's unclear what Samsung is getting out of this strategy.

Geekbench says there’s at least one 4GB RAM option and one 6 GB model. There might be more, but we haven’t seen an official confirmation. The Galaxy A16 is apparently going to be made official in December, if we go by a recent rumour. So there's still plenty of time for leaks to reveal all of its specs until then for all those interested in.
