Vivo Y28 4G with FCC certification

Vivo Y28 4G Certified by FCC; Global Launch is on the way with huge Battery

Vivo is working on the third Y28 smartphone to be launched soon. This will follow the Y28 from 2014, as well as the Y28. In January this year, Vivo revealed the Y28 (5G) smartphone. Now, they’re developing a 4G version. It’s been seen on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification site. Last month, a similar model also appeared on the Bluetooth SIG and Indonesia Telecom certification sites. We await another entry-level entry from Vivo. They are about to take the Vivo Y28 4G to the stage soon. In any case, the FCC has approved it, and we are here to report the details we know thru different reports available.

The name says it all about the Vivo Y28. Its focus is on 4G with SoC replaced and maybe a few relatively better specs. Note that the FCC certifies the device with serial number V2352. Because it got an all-clear from Bluetooth SIG and Indonesian Telecom, we believe it to be a global device. The new model will be 4G-only, unlike that one. The Y28 4G has been certified by the FCC, which means an international launch is happening. The certification has revealed the fact that the smartphone will have a 6,000mAh battery, but the actual minimum capacity is 5,870mAh, with the battery model number BA45.

Battery bump is the first change Y28 4G lords over its 5G sibling. FCC says that the phone has a 5870 mAh cell. But they may advertise that volume as typical 6,000 mAh. Over 1000 mAh scaled over the old Y28 5G. The battery will charge at up to 44W, and the phone will ship with a 44W charger in the box. The device will run Android 14 with vivo's Funtouch OS 14 on top from the day it arrives. The Y28 4G has already received the go-ahead from the Bluetooth SIG and the Indonesia Telecom certification website.

A fast 44W charging is also coming with this Vivo's latest budget 4G mobile. FCC confirmed that also in the listing with other details. And Vivo will ship a 44W brick inside the box as always. Because it's a 2024 phone, Android 14 is due with FunTouch OS 14 as the middle man. That's about it from FCC about the Y28 4G. The FCC certification also indicates that the Vivo Y28 (4G) was tested with a charger labelled V4440L0A0-US, suggesting 44W fast charging support. Its firmware version, PD2365F_EX_A_14.0.5.3.W30, suggests it will run on Android 14 OS and support WiFi, Bluetooth and LTE.

Its remaining specs may be the same as Y28 5G. That model has an ordinary IPS 90Hz HD+ screen. There's a 50MP first camera and an 8MP selfie. A 6.56" display greets the user. A fingerprint sensor is on the side, plus an IP54 rating protects it against water and dust. It should be getting even more certifications soon, ahead of its launch that could happen in the near future.
