Launch of iPhone 17 Pro

 iPhone 17 Pro expected to launch later this year : Specifications and all other latest leaks

After introducing the iPhone 16e, Apple is now reportedly gearing up to launch the iPhone 17 series later this year, bringing a host of improvements. As per the early leaks, the line up may include the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro and the top-tier iPhone 17 Pro Max. While the iPhone 17 Pro and ‌iPhone 17 Pro‌ Max are not expected to launch until September, there are already plenty of rumours about the devices. The latest report suggests that the iPhone 17 Pro Max will get a new design, upgraded cameras and enhancement. Following are the some of the important points:- 

Expected to feature a 48MP triple camera setup and a 24MP front camera.

iPhone 17 Pro Max may launch in the second week of September. 

The iPhone 17 Pro Max is expected to get a 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR Display with ProMotion technology along with a new anti-reflective coating on the display for improved visibility and durability. Additionally, the device is expected to get an enhanced A19 Pro chipset and up to 12GB RAM to support Apple Intelligence features. The iPhone 17 Pro Max design has been one of the most widely discussed topics on the internet. According to the leaks, the device might have a camera bump with an aluminium back panel and glass. The triple camera setup is expected to remain the same, with the flash and LiDAR sensor moved to the right. At the moment, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is expected to run on iOS 19 and support all the latest Apple Intelligence features that will be unveiled at the time of the iPhone 17 series launch. Following are the details of specifications we know so far:-

A19 Pro chip: ‌iPhone 17 Pro‌ models are expected to use Apple's next-generation A19 Pro chip, which will reportedly be manufactured with TSMC's newer third-generation 3nm process. Like usual, expect modest year-over-year performance gains and power efficiency improvements compared to the current iPhones.

Front camera

All four ‌iPhone 17‌ models are said to feature an upgraded 24-megapixel front-facing camera, whereas all iPhone 16 models are equipped with a 12-megapixel front-facing camera.

Frame

iPhone 17 Pro‌ models are rumoured to have an aluminium frame, whereas the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro models have a titanium frame, and the iPhone X through ‌iPhone‌ 14 Pro have a stainless steel frame. The back of the devices will supposedly have a new "part-aluminium, part-glass" design.

Apple-designed Wi-Fi 7 chip

All four iPhone 17 models are rumoured to get a Wi-Fi 7 chip designed by Apple rather than Broadcom.

Improved cooling

All four ‌iPhone 17‌ models are rumoured to feature internal design changes that result in better heat dissipation.

Telephoto camera

An upgraded 48-megapixel Telephoto camera is rumoured for the iPhone 17 Pro models, up from the 12-megapixel Telephoto camera on ‌iPhone 16 Pro‌ models.

RAM

An increased 12GB of RAM was initially rumoured exclusively for the iPhone 17 Pro Max, but later the iPhone 17 Pro as well. This upgrade should help to improve the performance of Apple Intelligence and multitasking. All four ‌iPhone 16‌ models have 8GB of RAM.

Camera bump

iPhone 17 Pro‌ models are expected to have a large rectangular camera bump with rounded corners. Apple apparently plans to stick with a triangular arrangement for the rear camera lenses.

It was initially rumoured that the ‌iPhone 17 Pro‌ Max would have a narrower Dynamic Island, but this claim has now been disputed. Speaking of the camera, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is expected to get a 48M triple camera setup. For selfies, the device may get a big 24MP front-facing camera. The iPhone 17 Pro Max is expected to cost same as the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s launch price. However, we will have to wait for the official confirmation for more information. The iPhone 17 Pro Max is expected to launch with the iPhone 17 series in the second week of September. However, Apple has not confirmed the details including the launch date, price, specifications and design until now.
