Development of EMUI 15 for previous devices by Huawei
Huawei rolls out a new operating system. EMUI 15 promises new features and certain visual enhancements. The update is also set to simplify multitasking for greater productivity. In a slow-pace global smartphone market, Huawei also making gradual progress in new EMUI version development for, and it seems we may have a light of hope about EMUI 15. Huawei’s representative says that, “At the moment, the manufacturer is optimizing EMUI 15 for previously released devices." Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not provided exact dates at the moment. Currently, It’s difficult to predict Huawei’s next move for global users, since it is majorly focusing on HarmonyOS in China.
Huawei essentially offers its own operating system with EMUI, a modified ROM based on Android. Evidently, the company’s decision to use such an operating system is not completely by choice. Huawei has now released the updated operating system globally, rolling out EMUI 15 to international users for the first time. Specifically, users of the Mate X6 can now upgrade to this new version of the operating system, which promises new features and enhancements. However, it is currently unclear when EMUI 15 will be coming to other devices. Huawei has yet to provide any roll-out plan regarding specific regions or devices. Among the new devices, Huawei Mate X6 and Mate 70 Pro are the two latest devices that offer EMUI 15 out of the box. These two flagship phones are designed with the new Kirin chipset, and the software optimizations help to improve the user experience. Despite Mate 70’s limited availability, the Mate X6 is expected to reach a wide audience.
Similar to a few recent EMUI versions, EMUI 15 is likely to root for the latest HarmonyOS. That said, the software could bring native design improvements, including personalized theme wallpapers to match on-screen content. The improvements introduced in EMUI 15 can be gleaned from the features on the Huawei Mate X6. However, we can’t assume that every single one of these enhancements will make it to all devices running EMUI 15. This is because, as a foldable, the Mate X6 can practically also function like a small tablet. The new version of EMUI offers interactive lock screen themes. One such theme allows users to swirl emojis around by shaking the phone, whilst another features a simple basketball game. A third interactive theme shows a visual representation of the current weather.
The animations will get smoother with new release thanks to the optimized source code. You will also see new 3D interactive themes for extra inter activeness. EMUI 15 will expand the smart features such as multi-screen collaboration, cross-device collaboration, cross-device sharing and more. This new software update will have more fluency and even more power efficiency. An absolutely useful addition, EMUI can use AI to detect when someone else is looking at the device and then hide notifications, helping to protect the user's privacy, especially in public spaces. But for a reported EMUI 15 development, we need an official statement or a rollout occurrence from the company to affirm these new features.
