Android Auto 13.5 Now Available

Android Auto 13.5 Stable Version  now available for all users to download

While Android Auto is one of the amazing yet versatile platforms offered by Google for its audience, the company has always worked on improving its overall functionality by providing plenty of exciting features and changes. Well, the latest 13.5 beta version brings support for non-cars (motorcycles); this newest version now reaches its stability stage. Android Auto 13.5 has just graduated from the beta to the stable channel, with Google now shipping the new update to the first devices through the Google Play Store.

The latest Android Auto 13.5 version hit its beta channel a couple of days ago, but now Google has started rolling out the stable update for the Android Auto owners. Version 13.5 landed in the beta stage and it's been promoted to the stable channel in only a few days, which could be a sign the update is stable. Android Auto 13.5 isn't available on the Google Play Store for you, and the latest version is a previous build, you must know that Google ships the most recent updates in waves. This means Android Auto 13.5 won't show up on all devices at once but only on a small set of smartphones.

This newest Android Auto 13.5 stable update, however, doesn’t list any major features or changes at first sight as usual. Simultaneously, people will gradually get to know about the new features and enhancements when the implementations will start to stop from the server side. Google will obviously add some new and interesting features that will be included with the latest version of Android Auto. Google uses the early reliability data to determine the update's stability before accelerating the rollout and bringing it to more devices. Eventually, everybody will get Android Auto 13.5, albeit the process could take up to several weeks.

Thus, the users will have to sit and wait for the wider rollout. Alternatively, in the recent past, Android Auto aimed to provide a more convenient user experience, especially adding the support of more EV cars like Ford, Polestar 2 and more; NACS charging standards for both Tesla and non-Tesla EVs; type-6 charging support for EV scooters; iconic Material You colouring patterns; refreshed music player design; and more. If you don't want to wait and would rather get Android Auto 13.5 right now, you can side load it on your device. You must download the Android Auto 13.5 APK on your device, tap the installer, and follow the on-screen wizard to complete the update. On some devices, you might be prompted to allow the installation of APK files (if the device is configured to allow app installation only from the Google Play Store).

It’s not exactly clear what has been added with the newer Android Auto 13.5 stable version. Additionally, Google is also adding support for higher-resolution displays. It is being assumed that the company is preparing Android Auto for new app categories, especially as the company has already announced beta support (not yet live) for video apps, games and browsers. Watching videos and playing games would make more sense on high-resolution screens, and considering that new-generation cars come with better displays, Google wants Android Auto to always feel at home on these infotainment units.

If you are wondering what's new in Android Auto 13.5, Google hasn't shared a change log at this time. However, thanks to beta APK teardowns, we already know that Android Auto 13.5 paves the way for broader support for motorcycles. The app is already compatible with several motorcycle models, but Google is now working on expanding this support, likely as it tries to make Android Auto more widely adopted. If we're lucky, Google could ship bigger Android Auto upgrades, including the highly anticipated Car Media feature to let us listen to radio stations and play content stored on removable drives in the coming months. We'll probably learn more about Google's short-term plans for Android Auto at the company's I/O developer event in the spring, but for now, we'll have to stick with the update to version 13.5 and the little improvements it brings.

Since the previous beta update was spotted with the support added for non-cars, that means the motorcycle EVs, while also highlighting the brands that include names like Geely, Leap, Lucid and even the other brand TVS; therefore, Google is going to bring more enhanced and convenient features and changes that will lead to a more comfortable and efficient experience for the users.
