There’s been a big development in the search for life in the universe, after scientists discovered an enormous presence of water vapour. The new research focuses on a gas and dust disk surrounding a young star, which was observed using the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA). Scientists looked into the gas and dust disk which was surrounding a young star and found water vapour in abundance. The hunt for life beyond Earth went a step further when scientists discovered water vapour in abundance in the universe.

In the latest research, the scientists focused on a gas and dust disk which was surrounding a young star. It was observed using the Atacama Large Millimetre/submillimetre Array (ALMA). The star, named HL Tauri, is found 450 light-years away and surrounded by a staggering amount of vapour. In fact, it adds up to three times the volume of all the oceans on Earth, and it could mark the birthplace of planets. According to research published in Nature Astronomy, the volume of vapour could improve the chances that a planet is habitable once it forms there.

The way the amount of vapour around HL Tauri looks to be influencing the birth of new planets and the conditions there could mirror the conditions that were around when the Earth was forming 4.5 billion years ago. Stefano Facchini from the University of Milan is the lead author on the project and shared his excitement at seeing "an image of oceans of water vapour in the same region where a planet is likely forming." Water, as ever, has been fundamental to a number of new scientific developments over recent times. Scientists recently discovered water is slowly leaking down towards the Earth’s core from the surface.

Speaking about the discovery in a press release, Stefano Facchini, an astrophysicist at the University of Milan and study leader, said, “I had never imagined that we could capture an image of oceans of water vapour in the same region where a planet is likely forming." As per the research published in Nature Astronomy, the water vapour's volume can increase the chances of the planet being habitable after its formation. As per the scientists, the amount of water vapour present around HL Tauri appeared to have an influence over the birth of new planets. It is also likely that the conditions amid the vapour can be very similar to the conditions that were prevalent when the formation of Earth took place 4.5 billion years ago.

Speaking about his excitement at noticing the oceans of water vapour, Facchini said, “Our recent images reveal a substantial quantity of water vapour at a range of distances from the star that includes a gap where a planet could potentially be forming at the present time." In recent times, water has been fundamental for various scientific developments. Recently, it was also found by scientists that water has been leaking slowly from the surface to the core of the Earth. A scientist also previously found the oldest water ever discovered on Earth and decided the best course of action was, of course, to drink it.

But with the move to platforms that run on your car’s display, such as Android Auto, that functionality hasn’t been as easily visible. Through recent updates, we’ve seen improvements in that regard.

But the improvements don't stop there. They've also revamped the interface for setting these addresses directly on your car's screen. You can just type in the address you want, no need to fiddle with your phone or other devices like before. This streamlined process saves time and eliminates distractions while driving, enhancing safety and convenience. Further, there’s an improved UI for setting these addresses up directly on the car’s display, as you can simply type in the address you want to set. In the past, users had to do this from their phones or other devices. These changes aren’t brand new, but Google is making a push to surface them to users. Through other recent updates, a pop-up has appeared for many reminding them that they can set up these pre-sets through their car’s display.

Google has even been using pop-up reminders to highlight this convenient feature, ensuring that users don't miss out on these helpful updates. These enhancements are particularly valuable for frequent Google Maps users who rely on Android Auto for navigation. It's now much easier to keep your home and work addresses up-to-date, making your daily commute or trips to familiar locations even more seamless. The ability to edit and set these addresses directly on your car's display eliminates the need to switch between devices, providing a more streamlined and efficient experience. WhatsApp is releasing a new beta update for some which brings an interesting message draft feature. With this addition, the company aims to enhance the chat experience for users to a greater extent. Let’s learn about this new capability in more detail.

WhatsApp has rolled out a new beta update for Android users, which brings a message draft feature. Identified via version 2.24.20.24, the update adds the ability to see message drafts directly in the chats list. Note that this feature is only available to some beta testers at present. The details reveal that WhatsApp is introducing a small indicator in every chat which will show if any message is left unfinished. It’s a perfect tool for times when you often forget to send a text to a person due to being busy with any other work.     

The message draft feature of Whatsapp allows users to easily spot incomplete messages without having to open each chat individually. When you start typing a message and don’t send it, a draft label will appear next to that chat in the list. Enabling this feature will show a draft label in the chat, displaying some of the texts that you have typed but forgot to send. This label will remind you to send the incomplete message to the recipient as soon as you open the chat application. Before this update, you had to open each chat to check for unsent drafts, but now, with the draft label, it’s much easier to keep track of messages you haven’t sent yet.

The message draft feature is currently being rolled out to some beta testers through the Google Play Beta Program. WhatsApp plans to expand this feature to more users in the near future. The feature will further help users to keep track of conversations without leaving any incomplete messages behind. Also, it eliminates the need to open every chat to check the unsend message. To see if this feature is available, just type a message in any chat and don’t send it. Then, go back to the chats list. If you see a draft label next to the chat, it means the feature is active for you. Notably, it is mandatory to install the latest beta version of WhatsApp. Message Draft feature is currently in the beta stage. Although the company will soon release it via a stable update.
