Undo "Delete for me" feature on WhatsApp

 Procedure to recover deleted messages on WhatsApp  

Meta's WhatsApp is one of the most used messaging apps in the world and it is now a part of our everyday lives . It is constantly trying to provide its users with the best experience by updating the app regularly. While WhatsApp has eased the process of chatting and sharing media and documents, we sometimes end up deleting messages accidentally from our phones that we can’t retrieve later. If you too have deleted some important messages from a WhatsApp chat and selected Delete for me option, you might be wondering how to get those messages back. The good news is that deleted WhatsApp chats can be recovered.

If you have deleted some of the messages and you are wondering how to get those messages back. Thankfully, the messaging app has introduced a few easy steps which allow users to recover lost messages. A step-by-step guide is given here, on how to recover deleted messages easily on WhatsApp.  Follow the steps below:-   

Open the chat list or the conversation on WhatsApp from where you want to delete messages. 

Next, select the messages you want to delete by long-pressing on them. 

Once selected, click on the bin icon at the top of the app and select “Delete for me.”

You will now get a pop-up at the bottom of the app, stating the messages you have deleted for the next five seconds.

Now, select Undo.

That’s it, once you followed the above steps, you will be able to undo the deleted messages.

You need to make sure to select the Undo option soon, because it will only show for five seconds to recover those messages, otherwise, you won’t be able to view those chats again. Also note that if you select "Delete for everyone" option, then the Undo option will not be appear.
