Samsung Galaxy M35 5G

Samsung Galaxy M35 5G mid-range smartphone with fresh design and an Impressive 6000mAh Battery

The Samsung Galaxy M35 is making headlines as a mid-range smartphone sporting a modern aesthetic along with a powerful 6000mAh battery, which earmarks it as the new mid-tier battery champion. Three major leaks have revealed the design and key specs of the Samsung Galaxy M35 5G, a brand new mid-range smartphone that boasts a 6,000 mAh battery, a 5 nm ARM chip and a modern design with a flat frame. Samsung does not appear to be simply adopting the design of the Galaxy A35 5G, as the Galaxy M35 5G does away with the bulge on the right-hand side and instead simply places the buttons in the flat frame. The Samsung Galaxy M35 5G can be seen in high-resolution images for the first time thanks to a new leaks.

The Galaxy M35 features a punch-hole display and a triple camera setup, echoing design cues from previous Galaxy A series models. The device’s slim screen bezels and the premium-looking backside are reminiscent of the freshly released Galaxy S24 5G, despite retaining a plastic casing. The back is slightly rounded on all four sides and, as is typical for Samsung, the three cameras are individually located in the casing. The smartphone has a back with a rectangular pattern, which is available in light blue, dark blue or grey. Following are the some of the advantages and disadvantages:-

Advantages

Extended battery life could make the device ideal for heavy users or those who don’t have frequent access to charging.

A punch-hole display and triple camera setup offer a modern design and potentially impressive photography capabilities.

The latest software with pre-loaded Android 14 guarantees up-to-date features and security.

Disadvantages

Despite its premium looks, the plastic casing might not appeal to everyone, especially those looking for a more ‘premium’ feel.

If not managed well, the large battery could add extra weight and thickness to the phone, affecting its portability and ergonomics.

Prospective buyers will find the Galaxy M35 appealing for more than just its looks. It is rumoured to come pre-loaded with Android 14. The model number SM-M356B/DS associated with the handset was previously leaked. According to this, Samsung is installing an Exynos 1380, a 5 nm ARM chip from last year that has four ARM Cortex-A78 performance cores with clock frequencies of up to 2.4 GHz and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores at 2.0 GHz. At least one variant of the Galaxy M35 5G also has 6 GB of RAM. A highlight of the equipment is the battery, which, with a capacity of 6,000 mAh, is larger than that of most direct competitors.

According to rumours, the Galaxy M35 5G has a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with 1080p+ resolution and a frame rate of 120 Hz, a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 5 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2 MP macro camera and a 13 MP selfie camera. The smartphone seemingly stands as a refreshed variant of the Galaxy A35, sharing the same Exynos 1380 processor, which was further confirmed by Geekbench listings. Blass’s revelations about the Galaxy M35 also point to a battery capacity that exceeds that of the A35 by a significant 20%. Though both phones boast similar specs, they have their distinct identities. With its robust battery and considerable power, the Galaxy M35 is geared up to claim the title of the top mid-range Android smartphone with the longest battery life at the time of its release. Following are the details of key features:-

The 6000mAh battery in the Galaxy M35 is likely to support fast charging, a common feature among mid-range smartphones to quickly replenish such large batteries.

Samsung’s Exynos 1380 chipset is expected to provide an optimal balance between performance and power efficiency, which would complement the large battery capacity.

Android 14 pre-loaded on the Galaxy M35 implies that the phone will have the latest software features and security updates offered by Google at the time of its release.

Battery life vs. performance: Balancing a high-capacity battery with device performance can be challenging. Users will expect the Exynos 1380 to deliver performance without draining the battery too quickly.

Market competition: The mid-range phone market is highly competitive, with many manufacturers offering devices with similar features. The Galaxy M35 needs to carve out a unique value proposition to attract consumers.

The Galaxy M35 distinguishes itself with a substantial 6000mAh battery, positioning it as a strong contender for long battery life within the mid-range segment. The Exynos 1380 is designed to provide a balance between energy efficiency and performance, which should allow the Galaxy M35 to handle most tasks without significant lag while maintaining battery life. When evaluating the Galaxy M35, it’s important to consider how the blending of robust battery capacity with mid-range hardware components like the Exynos 1380 will influence consumer acceptance, especially in a market filled with alternative options offering varied features at competitive prices. No details on the price and launch date of the Samsung Galaxy M35 5G are yet known.
