Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2024 spotted on UL, FCC

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2024 appears increasingly likely to launch soon, as the tablet has been certified by both the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Denmark’s Underwriters Laboratories (UL). These certifications reveal some possible specs and features of the device. Some of the highlights are as follows:-

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2024 battery size revealed through UL certification site.

The Samsung tablet has also popped up on FCC revealing the battery model number and connectivity details.

The Tab S6 Lite refresh’s S-Pen support is also corroborated by the new finding.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2024 is expected to launch soon as the tablet has been popping up on various online platforms. This includes Geekbench and the Global Certification Forum. We had gathered from these sources that there will be multiple variants of the device, one of which is going to be a Wi-Fi-only model. The Tab on the US’s FCC and Denmark’s UL database have revealed key details like its battery size, Wi-Fi bands, LTE bands etc.

One key detail revealed by these certifications is the battery capacity. According to UL, the tablet is expected to house a 6,840mAh battery (26.34WHr). However, we can see two Li-ion battery models named EB-BT725ABU and EB-BT725ABN, the former is a battery found within Galaxy Tab S5e that had a 7,040mAh cell. So, the latter could be the actual battery size. The certification includes two battery model numbers: EB-BT725ABU and EB-BT725ABN. The first one, EB-BT725ABU, is a larger 7040mAh cell, which might be actually used for the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. Support for this detail comes from the device’s FCC certification, which also mentions the EB-BT725ABU battery. Additionally, it confirms that the tablet supports 15W fast wired charging. The tablet has appeared on FCC with the same EB-BT725ABU battery. The listed FCC ID is A3LSMP625.

Moreover, the FCC listing suggests the tablet will be compatible with the S Pen stylus. Given that the previous Tab S6 Lite also supported the S-Pen, it’s unsurprising that Samsung would include it with the new model. Considering the compatibility with previous S Pen models, the 2024 version may also have similar dimensions. Its supported S-Pen model number is CP-911-01B-X (WACOM). Additionally, the FCC certification confirms that the device will have an LCD panel.

From these listings, we also managed details like its support for LTE, 2.4GHz+ 5.0GHz dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.3. We also spotted the schematics for the placement of both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth antennas. Additional leaks and benchmarks point towards the inclusion of the Exynos 1280 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM. The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2024 is expected to run the Android 14 operating system, likely with Samsung’s One UI interface. The certification of the upcoming tablet reveals that it features Bluetooth 5.3, which is a newer version compared to Bluetooth 5.0 used in the 2020 and 2022 versions of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. The upcoming device also features dual-band Wi-Fi, 2G GSM, 3G UMTS, and 4G LTE. The tablet is also listed as compatible with a Book Cover with model number EF-BP610. Since this book cover is also compatible with the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2020 and the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2022, it means that the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2024 will also have dimensions similar to its predecessors. While these leaks provide a glimpse into the upcoming tablet, official specifications and a release date from Samsung are still pending.
