Samsung Galaxy F55

Samsung Galaxy A55, F55 spotted on Bluetooth SIG; Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2024 on GCF certification

Samsung recently confirmed that it will announce the Galaxy F15 5G smartphone equipped with the Dimensity 6100 Plus chipset on 4 March 2024. It appears that soon after its announcement, Samsung may also unveil another F-series called the Galaxy F55. This is because the Galaxy F55 has received approval from the Bluetooth SIG authority, hinting at an imminent launch. Following are the important highlights:-

We have spotted the Galaxy A55 5G with model numbers SM-A5560 and SM-A5565 on Bluetooth SIG.

We also came across Galaxy F55 with model number SM-E556B_DS.

Samsung is supposedly re-releasing the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite in 2024.

Samsung is gearing up to launch multiple Galaxy smartphones and seems busy getting the phones certified by different bodies. Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy F55 was found on the Bluetooth SIG certification site. The latter could come as Galaxy M55 too. The company is historically known to do this rebranding exercise for its different sets of audiences. Besides these phones, we have also discovered the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2024 on the Global Certification Forum. The Galaxy F55 bearing the SM-E556_DS model number has received approval from the Bluetooth SIG certification platform. The listing confirms that the device will support Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. However, it does not say anything about the other specs of the device. The said device was approved by BIS authority, the Wi-Fi Alliance and Nemko. The BIS certification is a good hint that it will be released in the near future. Like other F-series phones, the F55 could be sold exclusively through Flipkart.

The brand is also said to be working on the Galaxy M55, which could be a rebranded version of the F55, sold exclusively on Amazon. Last year, the Galaxy F54 and M54 were launched with identical specs but were sold through Flipkart and Amazon, respectively. In November 2023, the Galaxy M55 was spotted with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, 8 GB of RAM, and Android 14. It is likely that the F55 may pack the same specs. Unfortunately, other details of the M55 are still unknown.

We have also spotted the Galaxy A55 5G with model numbers SM-A5560 and SM-A5565 on Bluetooth SIG. The listing just tells there will be two models and they both will support Bluetooth 5.3 standard. We also came across Galaxy F55 with model number SM-E556B_DS. It will be supporting Bluetooth 5.2 version. Since in the past, the Galaxy F-series phones have shared a similar set of specs with the Galaxy M-series brethren, we suppose the Galaxy M55 could also feature Bluetooth 5.2.
