 Samsung Galaxy A55 live images, key specifications leak ahead of launch

Samsung is gearing up for its next A series smartphones to be launched soon globally. The upcoming A series smartphones include the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35, both of which are going to be 5G smartphones. Following are the highlights:-

We can see the phone in Blue and White colour options.

The Galaxy A55 5G is expected to come with a 6.5-inch display, Exynos 1480 and a 50MP primary camera.

Samsung looks to be readying to launch the next batch of A-series phones, the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35. While the exact date is yet to be revealed, the phones should debut in March globally and then expand to other countries as well.  According to the images, it seems we are going to see a similar design pattern that Samsung doesn’t want to leave behind: the iconic triple rear camera setup with three cameras aligned vertically along with the flash. As per images, we will see a 50MP+12MP+5MP rear camera setup along with a 32MP front camera for selfie lovers. 

Samsung Galaxy A55 design

The Samsung Galaxy A55 5G live-images show the back design.

We see triple camera rings housed individually without any casing and an LED flash. The sensors protrude and are not flushed.

The volume rocker and power button are on the right edge.

The Samsung Galaxy A55 5G features a boxy chassis, with a colour-matched frame.

We see the Samsung phone in blue and white colour options.

 We see flat sides with metallic frames, aligning with the previously leaked renders of the smartphone. Another key aspect that Samsung is going to boast about is the Key Island feature that we earlier saw in the Galaxy A25 and A15 5G smartphones and also raises the power and volume buttons up. .

The RAM options we might see are going to be up to 12GB, but it is still not clear that how much storage we are going to get in this smartphone. However, it is expected that we may see two storage options namely 128GB and 256GB. So far this smartphone has already appeared on several certifications.

Expected Specification

It is expected that we will see the same Exynos processor namely 1480 SOC paired with Xclipse 530 GPU. The previously leaked renders showcased that the Volume Rocker and Power button are going to be placed over a bump on the side called Key Island. For charging it may support a 25W wired charging and a 5000 mAh battery. The screen size as per previous reports is going to be a 6.5-inch wide flat display with 120Hz support. It is also expected that we may see multiple colour options like Awesome Ice Blue, Awesome Lilac and Awesome Navy Blue.

Display 

The Samsung Galaxy A55 sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Chipset 

The handset could be powered by the in-house Exynos 1480 SoC with an AMD GPU for enhanced graphics performance. 

RAM/storage 

Up to 12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage options.

OS 

The phone might boot Android 14-based One UI custom skin out of the box.

Rear cameras 

The Galaxy A55 is rumoured to ship with a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP macro camera. There could be a 32MP shooter on the front for selfies.

Battery 

The phone might house a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging technology.
